Missions are not all the same. Here are 10 characteristics which define UFM.

Experienced

we have been sending missionaries cross-culturally for 80 years.

An extended family

we are neither too big nor too small. There is a real sense of belonging to the UFM family.

Bible-based

we believe that Bible-based theology is vital for effective cross-cultural ministry.

Worldwide

our missionaries serve in 25 countries across the world.

Partnership

we work in partnership with local churches as they send their missionaries out. We are also happy to work in partnership with other missions.

Flexible

we work with missionaries and their churches to enable Christians to fulfil the ministry to which they believe God has called them.

Strategic

we focus primarily on working amongst people with least opportunity to hear the Gospel.

Long-term

most of our missionaries are on long term assignments.

Short-term

we offer a wide range of short-term opportunities.

Trusting in the Lord

we are conscious that without the Lord we can do nothing.
