BRAZIL
Lynne McLeavy “Continue praying for all the preparations for the children’s camp and that the group of 30 coming from the States will arrive safely.”
Maureen Sharratt “Pray as I foster Marcia’s 10 month old baby daughter, Mikayli for the next 3 months. Marcia has returned to the streets and drugs. We are praying that she will go into rehab and be able to start afresh with Mikayli. This is the vision God gave me during a night of prayer I did for her when her situation worsened. I never expected God to respond by giving me Mikayli to look after but He did and He is helping me daily. She is a joy to be with and I am loving being with her. Amazingly, I am keeping up with my work with the finances of ARCA.”

PAPUA NEW GUINEA Rosie Crowter “Please pray for our preaching group as we meet on 2nd and help one another to prepare better sermons. Area Ministry Training Committee meets on 3rd. We will be discussing feedback from the courses, and planning for next year (I hope!!). It will be great if there is more sense of direction and purpose in this committee!! Thanks for your prayers.”
Medical Electives Pray for Tim Key and Chris Moss from Newcastle University who will be at Rumginae PNG throughout July; and also for Aaron Wallace and Kat Williamson from Queen's University, Belfast, who will be travelling to Cameroon on 5-6 July to begin their elective at Banso Baptist Hospital there.

BRAZIL
Jason & Andrea Murfitt "We have completed our deputation visits and would ask you to praise God with us for all the wonderful mission minded churches that we have been able to visit. Our last few weeks will be spent in Cornwall with our sending church as we prepare for a much anticipated return to Brazil, to pick up from where we left off ministering to the river-people of the Amazon. Our flight back is booked for 31st of July, directly after the UFM Family Conference."
Joe & Evelyn McCartney We give thanks for good attendance at the church services and pray that those who are seeking would come to fully trust in Christ. Pray for the new class on Evangelism that many will be reached with the gospel. Please continue to pray for official permission to move the building project on.

FRANCE Ben & Liz Griffin (Language study) “Please pray for us as we move back to the UK on the 6th July and as we leave friends here in France. Please pray for the church here in Bordeaux as they seek the Lord’s will for the way forward.”

CAMEROON Anatole & Alvine Lordon “Please pray that the church will continue in the spirit of unity and that members will walk in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit. Pray for the Lord’s anointing on every preaching and teaching opportunity. As a family, we are grateful to the Lord for His safe-keeping. Continue to pray for strength and travelling mercies for Anatole as the next 2 months will be busy for him setting and marking exam papers.”
BRAZIL Gerda Bühler (DMG) Gerda and Angela are involved in visitation twice a week at Cidade Nova and also run a children’s club. We pray that the Lord will direct their conversations and that the believers they meet will be encouraged and that those who do not know the Lord will be convicted to turn to him in repentance and faith.
Personnel Panel meets for an extra meeting today. Please pray for safety in travel and that the interviewees and Panel members will be deeply aware of God’s leading.

UK Kevin & Susan We give thanks for good opportunities to follow up on contacts, particularly with a group of Iranians, for opportunities to train others in Muslim evangelism and an invitation to speak about the basics of the Christian faith on a local Muslim radio station. Please pray for Kevin and Susan and their church during this time of change as Hicham and Elisabeth move to France.
FRANCE Hicham & Elizabeth Hicham and Elisabeth fly out to France today with Lydia and Sara. We pray for them as they say good-bye to family, friends and their home fellowship and we ask the Lord to help them as they deal with all the practicalities of setting up home in a new country, adjusting to the culture, developing relationships and starting a new ministry.

BRAZIL
Andrew & Jenny Love “We praise God for the opportunity to host some of Hannah & Maria's school colleagues from Brazil who are presently in the UK on a school trip. Also we are thankful to be able to attend the Keswick Convention and UFM Family Conference. Pray for spiritual rest and refreshment. On 31st July our home church Erith are holding a celebration weekend for 10 years ministry in Brazil. We pray that it will be a blessed time. Pray for us as a family as we make plans for Hannah to settle with Jenny's sister to do her A-levels in Wales.”
Esther Barczaitis (DMG) We pray for Esther and the team that work with her to reach the young people and children on the streets of Belem. We ask the Lord to give them good contacts and that the team will be able to provide practical and spiritual help to those they meet and see the lives of many young people transformed through the gospel.

APPOINTEES Sigrun Kallies (Brazil – DMG) Sigrun has transferred from DMG to Global Europe and this will be the last time we will be praying for Sigrun through the prayer calendar. We pray that she will know God’s richest blessing in her preparations for Brazil and her service there in the future. Ruth McGarvey (France) We pray that Ruth will have a refreshing summer holiday and the Lord will use her through the different activities that she is involved in. Emmanuel and Esther Durand (France) “There will be a commissioning service at Heath Evangelical Church on Monday 12th July. At the time of writing, we still need to raise quite a lot of support, but we trust that the Lord will provide for us. Pray with us that we will have what we need by the time we move at the beginning of August.” Edward and Esmé Zárate (Peru) Edward and Esmé have recently moved from Bridgend to Bournemouth and we pray that they will settle quickly and that the Lord will guide them in their daily activities and focus while they are there.
KENYA Martin & Claudia Bussey “Martin continues to teach Romans at Diploma level to a class that struggles a bit with English. He is also teaching a B. Th. class on Weds and Fri evenings, which meets in the centre of Nairobi. Pray the students (many of whom have full time jobs) will have time to do plenty of good reading so they truly benefit from the course. Please pray for wisdom to know what courses Martin should agree to teach in the August to December months.”

UK/SPAIN Jonathan & Susan Sanlon Jonathan has just returned from the FIEIDE Assembly and we give thanks for his input there and pray that the multi-media resources he has prepared and is still working on will prove to be very useful resources in the work of the gospel in Spain. We pray that the Lord will keep Susan and the baby well during the pregnancy, especially these final weeks.

IRELAND James & Julia McMaster "Please remember our children's 5-day clubs which will be happening at the end of this month and the beginning of August in various towns of Mayo. This will be the only opportunity for most of these children to hear the gospel this year."

INDIA Steve & Rhonda Morris “We should be in N Ireland on 5 July. Pray for Leah and Alyssa to settle in to schools in Ballymena. Remember Suzanna who will return for a year to Hebron school (India) in August to finish off her GCSE exams. Amy-Ruth will hopefully get into university in England. Pray for us on Home Assignment this year. Steve will be travelling to India several times throughout the year to finish off the building project at Kollegal orphanage and to run a CEF course for Indian Christians interested in children's ministry. Pray for Rhonda's health to improve.”

Shirley Hough “It has been a real blessing to renew contact with so many people and once again to see God’s provision and goodness to me. My time in the UK is now drawing to an end - it has gone by so fast. Please pray for me as I prepare to return to Brazil and resume the work in ARCA.”
Inge Bublitz (DMG) We pray for the churches that have attended our CEF courses and will be looking to implement the lessons they have learnt into their outreach events for children this summer. We pray for many opportunities for the message of Jesus to be clearly presented and that God would work powerfully in the lives of many boy and girls.

FRANCE Emmanuel & Maria Hartiel Emmanuel and Maria are in the process of moving from Belle-Isle to Guingamp to be closer to the church. We pray that the practicalities of the move will take place smoothly and that Emmanuel, Maria, Joseph and Lydie will know the Lord’s help as they leave friends in Belle-Isle and begin to settle in Guingamp.
NORTH AFRICA Catherine "Over 100 workers have now been expelled from the country, and the uncertain situation is continuing. Please pray that foreigners and nationals can know His strength and peace despite the circumstances, and witness wisely with love towards all. Pray this can be used to bring Him glory, and pray for the country's authorities. I will be studying in a different city during July. Please pray for ongoing progress with learning the language and culture and for more of His character to be formed in me.”

SIERRA LEONE Mike & Vi Webb "Pray about the future of the Grace and Truth Bible Institute (GTBI). Praise God for the spiritual growth we see in the young people, many of whom are awaiting results so they can go to university; they look to us for something to do both to keep occupied and to earn money - pray for wisdom for us. Continue to pray for our evangelists as they face many challenges that they will know the help, strength, and peace of God.”
CAMBODIA Jane Lopacka “I am seeking to open a satellite counselling service in Siem Reap, North Cambodia (home of the Angkor Wat Temple complex). Please pray as I seek God's desire in this extension to the Phnom Penh Counselling Centre. Also, our major crisis regarding taxes is still unfolding but looks more resolvable. Continue to pray for this situation and that I will find the funds to cover back taxes.”

UK/BURKINA FASO Alan & Pauline Ashmore By this time Alan and Pauline should be back in the UK as they were due back on the 10th. We give thanks for a wonderful time of ministry, for the Lord’s protection during periods of ill health and for all the support that has been shown during the past three months. We pray that Alan and Pauline will be conscious of the Lord’s leading as they settle back into the UK and seek to serve God here.
UK/IVORY COAST William & Rosalind Brown “Please remember our IC Summer Team Orientation Day on Sat 17 July. Pray that the team will gel well together as we plan for the trip, 3-24 August. Matthew is helping with CEF camps in Germany from 19-31 July before going on the IC Summer Team. Esther is helping with a CEF Junior Camp from 18th-23 July.”

APPOINTEES Paula Harris (Brazil) “Thank you to you all for prayer regarding essays and exams; the Lord has richly blessed me during this time. Now my studies are over please pray for deputation - that I would get plenty of opportunities to speak about the work in Brazil and raise support.” Jo McMillen (Brazil) We pray for Jo as she in involved in helping out at a number of camps that the Lord would use this time to revitalize her after a busy year at WEST and use her to influence others in their love and service for the Lord. Tomasz and Monika Kucharski (Poland) “Thank you for your prayers. On 8 June, Monika gave birth to our new son Franciszek Tomasz. Both mum and baby are in good health. Praise the Lord. The baptism ceremony in May went quite well. It was a good testimony to the unbelievers present at the service and it was very encouraging for us believers. In the near future we will meet as a church board to plan our future evangelistic events. We'd value your prayers for wisdom and discernment in leading the church in evangelism.”
REPUBLIC OF IRELAND Shaun & Tania Abrahams Shaun and Tania are in South Africa at the moment. We pray that this time will be an encouragement to them as they spend time with friends and family and have fellowship with a number of churches. We pray especially for Shaun’s mother who is unwell. While in South Africa Shaun and Tania will be applying for visas to come to the UK for Family Conference and deputation later this month. We pray that the Lord will grant them success in their application.

UK Our couple working amongst ethnic minorities We pray that the summer will provide plenty of time to write material and prepare for lectures and meetings that are coming up. We pray too for a good summer holiday for the family and that the Lord will guide the children regarding their education and gap-year opportunities for next year.

UK/ITALY Jonathan & Annette Gilmore We pray for Jonathan and Steve Timmis (Acts 29) as they evaluate the vision trip they undertook to Italy earlier this month. Jonathan will be leading an OM Transform team to Sicily at this time and would appreciate our prayers. We pray the Lord will bless Annette and the children during their time in Italy this summer.

HUNGARY Tamás & Berta Burján “Our first baby is due in late July/early August. Please pray for Berta and the baby and for us as a family with all the changes that she will bring into our life. We are pleased to be able to move back to our newly painted apartment and converted my former study into the baby’s room. The United Bible Society’s summit last month went well and it was a wonderful time with nearly 50 people from 26 different countries all responsible for Bible publishing and distribution at home. We felt blessed at the eldership day at church too. Thank you for your prayers!”
PAPUA Sue Trenier “Enjoyed a lovely break in Bali with family. Javier and Naomi Sosa have a baby boy, brother for Alana who was also born in Bali!! I visited the nearby offices of the Indonesian Bible Society, to discuss procedure and preparation for printing of the Hupla Bible. Very encouraged with the visit and support they have promised in the technical area. We have lots to do still but it is great to know that the text is now with the Bible Society.”

PAPUA/CANADA John & Gloria Wilson “Pray for preparation for the next "Semangat" seminar during October in Papua. The focus will be on transformational discipleship, and one of the outcomes will be a handbook translated into the languages of the participants. Please pray for me, Dave Martin and Dave Enns as we prepare our material for the Papuan context. We have looked at discipleship material in English but find that much of it is written for urban contexts in UK or US, and is therefore not suitable or transferrable. Conferring by e-mail and Skype we are developing our own curriculum in Indonesian.”

UK/PERU David & Bertha Barnes The Peru Summer Team travels from the UK to Lima today (returning on 13 Aug). We give thanks for David, Bertha, Esteban and the team of 10 and pray for safe travel to Peru and around the country. We give thanks for opportunities for evangelism, involvement in a Youth camp and an Inter-church conference and pray that God will be at work through each of the team and that the trip will be a valuable experience for everyone.

Liz, Roberta and Robert are due to have completed their short-term service now and should be back in the UK. We give thanks for all that they have been able to do in the respective countries in which they were serving and trust that the Lord would continue to use them and guide them in the future.

MONGOLIA Mark & Gill Newham “During this month we have many visitors which is wonderful, can we ask you to pray that the Lord will give us His grace and joy as we serve in this way. We would also be grateful for your prayers as we meet lots of interesting and needy people who are exploring and travelling through Mongolia. Please pray for the conversations that we have with them, that the Lord would keep us sensitive to His leading. Pray to for all the folk who work with us as we continue to seek together to follow the Lord's direction regarding the way forward in the business.”
MOLDOVA Maureen Wise "Please pray for Grisa, one of the 5 men in Casa Matei - the House of Matthew. Of the 5 men (all with disabilities), we think he is the only one not yet converted and his behaviour can cause problems. Please pray for Grisa and for a deep work of God in his life."

Alan & Pat Davey “Thank God for leading us to a much bigger building, more adaptable and useful for the church here. Pray that the purchase goes through OK. Thank God for Mark and Pam MacGowan who are continuing the services in English at the church during the summer. Meanwhile the Daveys are in Britain on holiday, visiting family and attending Family Conference, Keswick and camp for the kids, also speaking in one or two churches. Please pray for safety in travel, refreshment, renewal, refuelling, etc...”
Fiona Steward “Thank the Lord for the encouragement of my time of deputation in the UK. Please pray particularly for the Lord to provide with regard to the Student Centre and for personal renewal and strengthening before returning to Bordeaux in early August.”

UK COUNCIL Personnel Panel Meeting Let us give thanks again for a strong team of godly council members who give of their time, energy and experience in the work of guiding the mission in policy, finance and personnel matters. Pray today for those on the Personnel Panel as various interviews are held at Hothorpe Hall on the first day of the Family Conference.
UFM FAMILY CONFERENCE takes place at Hothorpe Hall, Leicestershire, 26-30 July. Pray for all who will attend, those travelling today and throughout the week as people come and go. Pray for safety, especially in the children’s and young people’s groups, and for those leading these groups during the main sessions. Pray also for Rev. John Tindall who will be bringing the Bible teaching.

UK/PAPUA NEW GUINEA Paul & Rachel Donovan “This is a 'bitty' month for us. Paul hopes to complete his dissertation and have time to help with maintenance on the manse we will be using in Hurstpierpoint. The children have finished school (19th) and we will be packing with a view to moving on 4 Aug. Please pray these practicalities will work out well and that as we round up our time in Bridgend we will leave a positive witness to Christ. We visit Family Conference tomorrow and look forward to fellowship with some of you then.”
ISRAEL Phil & Angela Hill are in UK for the summer and attending the Family Conference this week. “Pray for our personal spiritual growth and stability and for both of us to be able to ‘come apart and rest awhile’ over the summer. For part of the time Phil will be pursuing his final push for his MPhil degree and Angela spending special time with the family.” Pray for the church in Nazareth while Phil is away, for spiritual growth and the Lord’s blessing.

BRAZIL Bron Hewett “Praise the Lord for 44 Guajajara Christians who were baptized recently - pray for growth in their faith. On 20th I travel to England and Germany for a six-week trip to see family, friends and supporters and to fulfil a dream to attend the Oberammergau Passion Play in Germany. I praise the Lord and thank you all for your prayers after my motor cycle accident and for the miraculous progress I have made, also for the trip to Canada for my Canadian Permanent Resident Card, which allows me to work outside Canada with CrossWorld.”

SPAIN Laura Sanlon It has been a very busy time and we pray for Laura, particularly today, as she and the Summer Team begin their trip. We pray that the team will relate well together, experience safety in travel, have the ability to make a difference and learn lots through this trip. We pray that the Lord will give Laura the strength and the wisdom she needs to lead the team and that, although it will be a tiring time, it will also be inspiring.

UK HOME STAFF Northern Ireland and Scotland We thank the Lord for Iain and Janice in Glasgow and for Colin and Lynne in Belfast. Pray for refreshment for them and their families over the summer as they take holidays. Recently Colin attended the New Horizon conference in N. Ireland where he exhibited for UFM. Pray for a good outcome from that time.

UK HOME STAFF Swindon At the beginning of July, Alison (Polly) celebrated 25 years of service in the UFM office (seeing two moves, first from London and then in Swindon). We praise the Lord for her and pray he will continue to bless her in this service to the Lord. Debbie has settled in well and brings her own gifts to the team. At the end of August Frances will be retiring after 9 years with UFM, prior to a move later in the year up to Leeds. Please continue to pray also for Peter, John Mark, Jonathan, David, Denise and Rob.
