Operation Centurion

In Luke 7 we read of a Roman centurion in Capernaum whom the Jewish elders warmly commended to Jesus. They told him, "he loves our nation and has built our synagogue." Jesus commended the man's faith and healed his servant.

This incident provides the inspiration for a UFM ministry. Operation Centurion brings together teams of men with practical skills to undertake specific projects in countries where UFM missionaries are working.

In 2011 teams went to Moldova to renovate a house in which disabled people who have come out of closed institutions will live. In 2012 Operation Centurion teams will be going to Brazil, France and Moldova.

If you would be interested in going on this team and would like to know more about Operation Centurion you can contact us at centurion@ufm.org.uk

An Operation Centurion Day Conference will be held on Saturday 12 November 2011 at Swindon. The conference is for anyone interested in joining one of the teams. For further information contact Debbie Fitch - Email: debbie@ufm.org.uk
