What is a UFM Mission Partner?
A UFM Mission Partner is someone set apart by God, sent and supported by a local church, affirmed and facilitated by UFM with the primary aim of making disciples in a cross-cultural context.
Set apart by God
We believe that God is the one who, by his Holy Spirit, sets apart and raises up workers for his harvest field.
Sent and supported by local churches
We believe that it is churches who have the primary responsibility to identify, train, send and support workers for cross-cultural mission service. UFM exists to support churches to do that.
Making disciples cross-culturally
UFM mission partners are seeking to make disciples in situations where they must cross geographical, cultural or linguistic barriers, with a focus on taking the gospel to the least reached and working in partnership with churches around the world.
2000 years after Jesus looked out among the crowd and saw people lost, like sheep without a shepherd. We can look around the world today and see that the harvest is still plentiful and the workers are still few.
Is that you?
If you’re considering serving in long-term mission work, then the very best place to start is to talk with your church leaders. We’ll then be delighted to meet with you and your church, helping to explore God’s leading and discussing possible mission openings.
