Our friends at the Good News Hospital in Mandritsara, Madagascar have an urgent need for medical doctors from June 2024.
The hospital needs Christian medical doctors preferably with experience working in the majority world. Some French language skills would be helpful but not essential.
Doctors could have a background in general practice, internal medicine, or A+E. Ideally for 6-12 months, but we will consider a shorter time period especially of you have good French.
The hospital is also looking for short-term medical doctors who have at least two years of professional experience post-qualification, and who speak enough French to practise safely in a Francophone setting.
The Good News Hospital started 25 years ago in one small clinic room in the centre of Mandritsara town, Madagascar. God has provided and grown his work in amazing ways, so the hospital now serves 2,000 outpatients every month and has a 57-bed inpatients – medical, surgical & maternity. There is an operating theatre, eye department, a laboratory, an Xray department, a pharmacy, and a nursing & midwifery school.
