Serving in schools and the wider community as part of the MusaweNkosi project.


Cost: £1,300 (tbc)

Includes: flights from UK, travel insurance, DBS clearance, in-country travel, accommodation & meals, £50 administration fee. At least two cultural visits (which may include a trip to a game reserve, attending local churches, a traditional Zulu village and/or the beach) are also included.

Ministry: Supporting the work of our associate missionaries, Gavin and Elaine Charlton, through running a Holiday Bible Club for local children during their mid-winter school break; community outreach to the elderly; assisting at the Children’s Home (practical work and games/activities with the children).

Accommodation: comfortable accommodation in the host’s home. All meals included.

Location: Empangeni and the surrounding rural areas, South Africa

Age: 18+

Other information: Cost of your visa, inoculations and travel to/from departure airport is not included.

Team Leader: Alex Stephenson (Irish Baptist College). Alex previously spent a year serving at MusaweNkosi (2016-17), returning for three months during the 2018 summer break and, in 2019, leading a church team of 14 from Ballymena Baptist Church.
