Reaching Filipinos in Northern Ireland

With over 78% of Filipinos coming from a Roman Catholic background, the majority have never heard the gospel.

Since Brexit, Northern Ireland has seen a growing influx of Filipinos seeking job opportunities, particularly in the industrial sector. Many have arrived to build a better future, often bringing their families with them—though some remain separated from their loved ones.

With over 78% of Filipinos coming from a Roman Catholic background, the majority have never heard the gospel. As they navigate life in a new country, there is a deep need for community, connection, and the hope found in Christ.

Vision & Calling

We moved to Ballymena in 2021 after serving in an international church in Southeast Asia.

We believe God led us here for a purpose. Jody, as a Filipino with pastoral experience, has a personal testimony of stepping out of his comfort zone—just as many Filipinos around us are doing.

Through Ballymena Baptist Church, we launched a basketball ministry, creating a space for young men to gather, play, and hear the gospel. This has led to weekly Bible studies in Tagalog and ongoing discipleship for new believers.

Our vision is not to establish a separate Filipino church but to see Filipinos integrated into local churches—finding a home in every congregation. We aim to equip and partner with churches to help them reach the Filipinos in their communities.

About Us

We are a family of four with a heart for the Filipino people. Our desire is to see them come to know Jesus as their Saviour and grow in their love and knowledge of God’s Word.
