Description

An amazing opportunity to to meet with some of the missionaries and hear about their work.

“…they reported all that God had done through them and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles” Acts 14 v 27

13th – 17th August 2018, Hothorpe Hall

Open to all families of our Missionaries, Church Leaders and anyone interested to hear from our missionaries around the world, and to enjoy the fellowship of the UFM family and a week of good Bible teaching, including teaching and activities for children and young people. A great time to join with supporters, family and friends to learn first hand about God’s work around the world.

Bible talks

The Bible ministry will be given by our Director, Michael Prest. Michael began his working life in pharmacy management with Boots and then after time at Oak Hill College, London he served as one of the ministers at Beeston Free Church, Nottingham. Michael is married to Rachel and they are very grateful for their four children, Bethia, Jemima, Benjamin and Nathanael. Before starting this latest assignment they served as UFM missionaries in South East Asia where the focus of their work was on training and equipping local believers to reach out to those from the majority religion. They are actively involved in Emmanuel Marlborough, a relatively new FIEC church plant.

Hothorpe Hall

We are pleased to be in our regular venue Hothorpe Hall, a Georgian Manor in a rural setting 6 miles from Market Harborough, Leicestershire – The attractive and extensive grounds include formal gardens and woodland and there are fine views all around of rolling hills and fields. The dining area is pleasant and spacious with excellent meals provided. A children’s menu will be available; also high chairs or booster seats as required.

Other conference facilities include a quiet lounge, library/morning-room, pool table and table-tennis; in the grounds there is an open-air area for tennis, badminton and volleyball. A swimming pool and leisure centre is available in Market Harborough, and there are many interesting places to visit nearby. This centre provides excellent facilities for wheelchair users, and all public rooms, pathways and car parks are easily accessible. For more details visit the Hothorpe Hall website.
