Those involved in gospel work must watch their life and doctrine closely and be equipped to rightly handle the word of truth (1 Tim 4:16 & 2 Tim 2:15).
Relevant theological, biblical and cross-cultural training is therefore vitally important for those serving in mission.
Long term UFM mission partners will normally have completed relevant studies in theology and mission at a Bible school or seminary. In addition to this, there are lots of other ways in which people can be helpfully prepared for mission service, for example through mission training programmes overseas, further service in the local church and being mentored by long term missionaries.
