Gisli and Nora
The need is great in Bulgaria; sadly it is the most active trafficking country in the Balkans. It has a high rate of unemployment, marriage and domestic violence issues, and young people and adults who struggle with alcoholism.
Ministering God’s love through Christian counselling
Gisli & Nora are serving with UFM Worldwide and SEND as Christian Counsellors in Bulgaria. Their vision is to spread God’s love in transforming and renewing broken individuals through the power of the Gospel with Jesus as the role-model.
They do this by:
- making their Christian counselling service accessible to anyone who feels they can benefit from the service regardless of ability to pay,
- running various workshop in churches to improve people’s skills in relating to one another, and
- seeking to develop programmes to teach Christian counselling, to further equip Bulgarians and Roma to minister to their own people.
Equipping local believers
They are currently in their first year of training with four local believers but they need more help. They need people to stand with them in prayer and financially as they seek to make Jesus known as the way, the truth and the life to these precious souls in Bulgaria.
