Supporting gospel progress around the world

UFM exists to support churches in making disciples of all nations.

Our UFM family is growing

We love to help churches to be on the front foot when it comes to identifying, training, sending and supporting workers for cross-cultural mission service. It’s therefore been a joy to see God answer prayers for many new workers over recent years. From 100 workers in 2010, to 200 workers in 2020, now in 2025 there are over 300 long and short term mission partners in the UFM family. We don’t look to pursue growth for its own sake, but we praise God for many more people taking the gospel to the least reached and serving churches around the world.

Stewarding resources well

We give thanks to God for his abundant provision for the work over the years. And we work hard to ensure that we steward the resources God has given to us so that our priority remains the progress of the gospel, not the growth of an organisation. However, we are praying about three factors having an impact on our day-to-day running costs as an organisation:

• a pattern of reducing legacy income
• reduced giving to the general funds of mission charities
• increased employment costs (e.g. we will have £13,000 of additional costs each year due to the upcoming rise in employers’ national insurance contributions).

Amidst the backdrop of a military coup, what a joy to hear of gospel progress in a church in this SE Asian nation, planted by UFM workers. Praise God for a man recently coming to faith from a least reached people group in that context and being baptised. The gospel is being held out boldly across the community, with over 200 families reached through a recent Christmas meal outreach event.

Investing with eternity in mind

For our 2025 annual appeal we are therefore praying that some individuals and churches may feel led to support this growing gospel work around the world. Might you be able to be involved in this way either through a one-off or regular gift to our general fund?

What a joy to be able to invest all that we have, all that we own and all that we earn, with eternity in mind.
