Sending Church Consultant for UFM

George Hawkins

George Hawkins is part of the UFM team as our Sending Church Consultant and is available to advise churches that are in the process of sending and supporting mission partners. George previously served as Senior Pastor at Beeston Free Church in Nottingham and brings a wealth of experience in this area.

After working in financial services, George went to Bible college in the US before serving as one of the ministers at Beeston Free Church, Nottingham, in 2012. At Beeston, one of his responsibilities was overseeing the work of global mission, including the sending and support of their mission partners.

He finished at Beeston Free in summer 2025 and took up a part-time role with FIEC as the local director for the East Midlands, as well as working with UFM to support sending churches as they engage with global mission and support their mission partners.

George and his wife, Ele, live in Nottingham, and they have two adult children.
