Women’s ministry and local evangelism
In France, there is one evangelical church for every 25,000 inhabitants, and our goal is to have one Bible believing church for every 10,000 people. The percentage of evangelical Christians in France is less than 1%.
Although there is a growth in church planting in France, there are not many women who are able be in full time ministry to train and to help women grow more of their knowledge in Christ. Many women have never done a one-to-one Bible study or been trained to lead Bible studies.
Eglise des Ternes
Eglise des Ternes is a church located in the 17th District of Paris; an area that has about 90,000 inhabitants but only three evangelical churches. People from this district have a mix of religious backgrounds: many have never heard the gospel.
At Eglise des Ternes, there are no women working at the church full-time, and yet many women attend the church. Some women have not been trained to do a one-to-one Bible study because the workers are few. Marc-Etienne (the Pastor) asked if I could join the team to help with this work.
I want to encourage women in their faith, and to train them up for future ministry. My other calling is to evangelise, and I would like to train church members to partner in welcoming those who visit the church, and walk alongside any who want to give their life to Christ.
A little about me
I am originally French, but I grew in many different countries; now I reside in Paris. I am currently doing a one-to-one Bible study with a woman at church, and I am helping with the youth ministry too. As I transition into full-time ministry, I hope to be able to do more one-to-one Bible studies with women at church and with non-Christians in the local area.
I would also like to be more involved in other areas of the women’s ministry at church and I would like to get to know the local community as well.
