Encouraging and training Christian workers around the world

In 1986 Dafydd was invited to visit Christians behind the Iron Curtain in Prague. There he witnessed the courage of Christians in difficult situations, but he also saw the isolation that they often felt. Following that visit, a burden was placed on his heart to encourage Christians who live in difficult situations. He returned to Prague a number of times.

More recently opportunities have come to visit other countries, especially in the Balkans. Here he has preached, taught, mentored and been used in evangelism. However, as the invitations increased, it was increasingly difficult to marry this work with full time pastoral ministry in the UK.

Barnabas Project

Barnabas Project enables Dafydd to encourage and help missionaries, pastors, and Christian workers. Dafydd devotes up to 50% of his time to this work, with two particular emphases.

Firstly, Barnabas Project gets alongside those who serve in difficult places or isolated situations. Barnabas means son of encouragement, and Dafydd uses in-person visits, and online long-distance mentoring to provide a level of encouragement and support.

Secondly, together with others, Dafydd offers training in Bible study, preaching, pastoral theology, apologetics and soul care to Eastern Europe, Africa, and wherever there is a door that opens.
