Training to serve the Central Asian church

There was almost no church in this region of the world prior to independence from the Soviet Union in 1991. While growing in the cities, the church is still small, with almost no resources beyond the Bible itself, and with little training for its church leaders. There is now a second generation of believers who are growing up with little support or encouragement outside their home to continue to walk with the Lord.

Over 99% of the people of Central Asia have never had a chance to hear the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We visited Central Asia in 2022, where we had the privilege of meeting believers who love the Lord and are eager to share his word with others. Yet these brothers and sisters have little to no resources or support to help them understand God’s word and live it out in communities whose way of life is very different and where the gospel is often not welcome.

We long to help people treasure Jesus as they navigate life with him. In order to do this well, we are going to Bible college so that we can be equipped to handle God’s word well, so that we can be as useful as possible to the people God gives us to walk alongside.

Please join us in praying that God equips us well at Bible college and makes clear how he can use us once we get to Central Asia.

We are heading to Theological College in September 2026 so that we can be instruments by which God’s church is strengthened.

We long to see his church in Central Asia growing and flourishing for his glory.
